A Translation Report On An Analysis Of Ludwig Von Mises's The Theory Of Money And Credit

Ludwig von Mises?1881–1973?is a famous economist in 20^th century,a brilliant liberal thinker and the chief of the third generation of the Austrian School.In this translation project,the source text comes from the first four modules of An Analysis of Ludwig von Mises's The Theory of Money and Credit.Mises's The Theory of Money and Credit ushers in a new era of economic thought,still relevant today by integrating Mises's strongly argued theory of money into a general theory of price and marginal utility.The translation practice of this book will provide a reliable target text,and provide relevant knowledge to learners in the field of finance and economics.On the other hand,the translation of this book can be a valuable one in the translation of finance theory.In this translation report,there are five chapters.The first chapter introduces this translation project,mainly the source,type,style of the original text,and the significance of the project.The second chapter describes preliminary preparation and translation process,which include terminology,background,text analysis,translation theory and other tools.To better understand and use this theory,chapter three explains the framework of the translation theory of Vinay and Darbelnet's model,summarizes and introduces the theory separately.The fourth chapter is case analysis.Translation is a process of discovering and solving problems.The main problems encountered fall into three categories by the author-lexical,syntactical and textual,which consist of sub-types of problems.The sentence part is divided into several sub-parts,including passive voice,clause and long difficult sentence and so on,and corresponding treatment methods are put forward according to the theory.And the textual part mainly focuses on cohesion.The fifth chapter is the part of post-translation and proofreading,and makes a summary of this translation practice.Based on The Translation Theory of Vinay and Darbelnet's model,this chapter summarizes translation problems and puts forward the corresponding measures.
