Teaching materials are important materials from which teachers teach and students learn,as well as sources of testing teachers' teaching results and students' learning effects.Teaching materials are important materials on which teachers teach and students learn,as well as sources of testing teachers' teaching results and students' learning effects.This article compares the two sets of textbooks from the aspects of textbook structure,text selection,vocabulary arrangement,grammar notes,exercise design and Chinese characters,analyzes their similarities,differences,advantages and disadvantages in these aspects,and compares them with the author.Combining the practice of using the HSK test for freshmen at Caloocan University and the experience and feedback of senior students when they begin to learn Chinese,try to propose relevant amendments and improvements in order to meet the needs of the new HSK test.,provides some reference opinions,continuously improves the content of Chinese textbooks from the combination of theory and practice,and improves the compilation quality of Chinese textbooks.The first part concludes the reason,object and significance of the research summaries the results of previous textbooks.This part focused on comparative study of New Concept Chinese and Chinese Made Easy,and also analyzed the research on the principles of compiling Chinese textbooks and the research on various items in the compilation of textbooks.Editors should draw experience in compiling textbooks on the research achievement.The first chapter is the comparative study of structure between the New Concept Chinese and Chinese Made Easy,and analyzes the similarities and differences of their overall frame structure and internal frame structure.The second chapter is the main part of the thesis.This area took students in the zero-basis of Chinese language as teaching targets,comparing their similarities and differences in text,vocabulary,grammar,exercises and characters of first volume.In addition,it analyzes the problems existing in the two textbooks as well as the part worthy of learning and reference.The third chapter is to conduct a questionnaire survey on students and teachers who have used these two sets ofteaching materials,collect and organize data,and make analysis.The final part is the summary,which summarizes the analysis results of the two sets of teaching materials.It is hoped that the textbooks for Chinese as a foreign language will be based on Chinese Made Easy and New Concept Chinese to draw on experience,improve and innovate.Through comparison,it can be found that Chinese Made Easy and New Concept Chinese embody different views on language.The former is based on words and follows the word-based view of language,while the latter is word-based view of language.To sum up,there exists great difference between New Concept Chinese and Chinese Made Easy in contents of texts,new words,grammatical points,exercises etc.On the whole,New Concept Chinese is simpler to learn and teach than Chinese Made Easy,and more interesting and practical than Chinese Made Easy,but Chinese Made Easy is still a popular and classic Chinese textbook at home and abroad.Neither set of textbooks is perfect,and both have areas for improvement to better meet the needs of Chinese learners.
