Pragmatics Studies Of Questioning In Investigative Interrogation

Pragmatics is a comprehensive discipline that involves people's use and understanding of language,as well as the use and cognition of language in social communication.Among them,the cooperative principle,relevance theory and adaptation theory have strong explanatory power and complementarity in communication,which have important guiding significance for the research of questioning.This paper adopts literature research,interdisciplinary research,empirical research to carry out the following research.The first chapter introduces the research background and significance,research review,research ideas and methods,and points out that the current study of questions still exist pertinence research in-depth,corpus research compare deficient,premature to interdisciplinary research from three aspects,as one of the important methodology,and pragmatic analysis would provide new research ideas and methods.The second chapter analyzes the pragmatic phenomena in questioning.On the one hand,questioning has three pragmatic properties: verbal interactivity,purpose-oriented and contextual dynamics.On the other hand,the questioning process is a pragmatic reasoning process,which is mainly embodied in the interactive reasoning of questions and answers.It involves the internal language preparation of the interactive subject before the beginning of the conversation and the purpose confirmation after the real intention of the other party is clarified.It is interactive,context-dependent,abductive and purposive.Chapter three explains the pragmatic principles in questioning.The purpose-cooperation principle holds that the purpose is the reason for the generation of discourse behavior,the driving force for the development and conduct of discourse,and the meaning of discourse behavior.Once both sides of communication carry out a purposeful speech behavior,they will inevitably form or enter into a purposeful relationship.In order to obtain the cooperation and even efficient cooperation of the criminal suspects,the purpose relationship of both sides should be adjusted and consistent.The relevance principle holds that interrogators should use the best relevance to change the cognitive context of the criminal suspect,so that he can respond according to his intention to strengthen the motive of confession.The adaptation principle requires that language selection in questioning should start from the adaptation characteristics of language,fully consider the mutual adaptation of contextual relevance components and linguistic structure objects,and adopt speech convergence strategy to extract information.Chapter four analyzes the pragmatic errors of questioning in interrogation practice.In the practice of interrogation,due to a variety of subjective and objective reasons,interrogators make pragmatic mistakes in questioning at any time,which are embodied in the violation of the three pragmatic principles.Including violating the purpose--the purpose of cooperation principle systematic confusion,ignoring cooperation,exposing the purpose;The three communicative contexts that violate the principle of relevance are weak purpose relevance,weak cognitive stimulus,weak context application and psychological,social and physical factors that violate the principle of adaptation.Chapter five,under the framework of pragmatic principles,puts forward the application strategies of questioning pragmatics in the light of pragmatic failures,including goal orientation,information relevance and contextual adaptation.The goal oriented strategy includes clarifying the goal system,emphasizing the relationship between cooperation and goal,and realizing goal by pragmatic presupposition.Information correlation strategy includes the necessity of controlling information content,strengthening the interactivity of information feedback and paying attention to the change of information background.Contextual adaptation strategy includes specific methods to adapt to the functional roles,psychological states,social world and physical world of both parties in interrogation.The above three strategies are intended to guide and correct pragmatic errors to the greatest extent so as to promote the efficient development of interrogation practice in the future.
