In order to know the status quo of the temperament,family parenting style,and social development of rural left-behind children aged5-6 in Hunan Province,and to explore whether family parenting methods have a mediating effect on the relationship between child temperament and sociality,and whether gender can mediate the mediating effect effect.In this study,394 left-behind children aged 5-6 were selected from 10 kindergartens in D,H,N,and Z regions of Hunan Province using a cluster sampling method.Using the method of questionnaire survey,the social development scale of 4-7 years old children compiled by Chen Huichang,the family rearing style scale compiled by Yang Lizhu and Yang Chunqing,and the temperament teacher rating scale for3-9-year-old children compiled by Liu Wen and Yang Lizhu were used for the study.The results are as follows。1.There are gender differences in the activity and responsiveness of5-6-year-old left-behind children in rural areas.The activity score of boys is significantly higher than that of girls,but the reactive score of boys is significantly lower than that of girls;there is gender difference in the autocracy of family rearing style,and the score of girls is significantly lower than that of boys in the autocracy of family rearing style;the analysis of social gender differences shows that girls are in compliance with The scores of social rules,non aggression,empathy and helping others were significantly higher than those of boys.There was no significant difference in other dimensions of social development between boys and girls.2.There are significant differences in the two dimensions of doting and despotism in different types of left behind children;there are significant differences of society in social rules,cognition,introversion,living habits,attachment to family,emotional stability,self-concept,peer relationship,non aggression,independence,honesty and justice,empathy and helping others3.There is a significant positive correlation between children’s sociality,temperament and family rearing style.Specific to each dimension,the concentration and responsiveness of children’s temperament are positively correlated with children’s social development;democratic family rearing style is positively correlated with social development;indulgence,indulgence,autocracy are negatively correlated with social development.4.Family rearing style plays a partial mediating role in the influence of temperament on children’s social development.5.Gender plays a moderating role in the relationship between temperament and sociality through family rearing style.Boys’ family rearing style significantly positively predicts children’s sociality.According to the research results and combined with previous studies,six educational suggestions are put forward.The first is to implement the main responsibility of the family and strengthen the guardianship consciousness of parents;the second is to give full play to the scientific guidance role of guardians to improve the psychological resilience of left behind children;the third is to pay attention to the fitting of children’s temperament and family rearing mode;the fourth isto play the promoting role of home cooperation;the fifth is to play the role of publicity and guidance of mass media;the sixth is to play the role of government support and guarantee.
