An Analysis Of The Translation Mode Of Chinese Characters In Elementary Chinese Character Textbooks For Foreigners

In order to improve the teaching efficiency of Chinese characters and the writing quality of elementary Chinese character teaching materials,this article takes elementary Chinese character teaching materials as the research object,and takes the three modes of Chinese character translation: language translation mode,picture translation mode and character translation mode as the main research content.Through a comprehensive investigation of the Chinese character translation patterns in the commonly used elementary Chinese character teaching materials and an in-depth study of the two textbooks "Foreign Chinese Character Express" and "Teacher Zhang's Teaching Chinese Character · Understanding and Writing Textbook",the nature and characteristics of the three main Chinese characters translation mode were discussed,find out the shortcomings in the translation of Chinese characters in the current primary foreign Chinese character textbooks and put forward corresponding suggestions for improvement,and at the same time summarize the important principles of the selection of the Chinese character translation mode in the primary foreign language Chinese textbooks.Guided by the principles,this article also draws up examples of selections for reference for the translation items and translation patterns of one hundred high-frequency commonly used Chinese characters.The research of this paper has certain theoretical and practical significance for the selection of translation models in the teaching of Chinese characters to foreigners,the translation of Chinese dictionaries in Chinese as well as the translation of Chinese characters in the teaching of Chinese characters to foreigners.
