| The book " Nan Hua Zhen Jing Xunben " by Luo Miandao,a scholar in the Southern Song Dynasty,is an important work reflecting the achievements of Zhuangzi’s studies in the Song Dynasty.In the Song Dynasty,the scholar of Zhuang Zi mainly used Confucianism and Yi to annotate Zhuangzi,and also used Buddhism and Taoism.In addition to this kind of thinking,Nan Hua Zhen Jing Xunben proposes a method of resolving Zhuangzi with the purpose of "searching for the original purpose of Zhuangzi".This book has played an important role in correcting Zhuangzi’s academic deficiencies in the Song Dynasty and fully understanding the book "Zhuangzi".This book proposes to use the word "Hua" to explain "Xiao Yao You".It has become the most influential explanation besides Guo Xiang’s explanation and Zhi Dun’s explanation.Compared with the previous explanation,this one is even more influential.It was close to Zhuangzi’s original purpose and was mostly recognized by later scholars.Based on the comprehensive research of Zhuangzi’s studies in recent years,this article analyzes the meaning of "Xunben" in "Nan Hua Zhen Jing Xunben" from three aspects: the commentary style of his book,opposition to other theories,and the identification of the pseudo-text of "Zhuangzi".This article believes that in terms of annotations,Luo Miandao’s book "Nan Hua Zhen Jing Xunben" reflects Xunben’s intention by emphasizing grammar and explanatory text.In opposing other theories,although he resisted the influence of metaphysics in Jin Dynasty,Buddhism and Confucianism,he fell into the misunderstanding of using Laozi and Yi to explain Zhuangzi.In terms of discriminating forgery,because of the author’s Confucian status,his views were influenced by Su Shi,and and the falsifications he identified were not valid.But on the whole,the the book " Nan Hua Zhen Jing Xunben " recognizes Zhuangzi’s original purpose in many aspects,and will be of great help to later generations to understand "Zhuangzi". |
