The Supply And Demand Contradiction And The Countermeasure Study Of The Old-age Service In Shandong Province

As the second largest province and the largest province of elderly,the number of elderly population in Shandong province has presented a pattern of large amount and high proportion.With the deepening degree of aging population,the number of the elderly,empty-nest elderly and disabled elderly will also widely increase.Severe challenge as it is,the huge domestic demands from the elderly population has also brought a major opportunity of the development of institutional pension service in the whole province.However,there is little research about the institutional pension service in Shandong province at home and abroad.Therefore,on the basis of the reality of Shandong Province,the thesis makes a deep analysis and comprehensive investigation of the supply and demand of institutional pension service.The research mainly revolves around 12 urban and rural communities of Jinan,Weifang and other cities,which all adds up to 320 elderly people.In addition,in order to ensure the representation of the sample,a nursing home has been taken from each area,which respectively investigates 10 elderly people.This time,a total of 350 urban and rural elderly people are surveyed and 344 valid questionnaires are collected.Besides,this paper has adopted methods of descriptive statistics and comparative analysis to organize and compare the research results then to figure out the factors of supply and demand of pension services.The study has found that,from the statistics of the province,there is a large contradiction between the supply capacity of the institutions and the increasingly urgent needs of the elderly groups,especially the contradiction between the supply and demand of the number of beds,the supply of service elements and the professional level of the institutional service.And the factors mainly include inadequate financial investments of government in private pension institutions,complex implementation of subsidy policies and inferior treatment for employees in the pension institutions.Hence,this paper analyzes these problems and draws lessons from the experience of the advanced countries in the aspects of institutional pension service.On the basis of characteristics of aging population,this paper proposed solutions from the aspects of leading role of government,encouragement of social capital injection,high rate of resource utilization and improvement of the professional sense of belonging to employees.
