The Study On The Impact Of Community Social Capital On Residents' Participation In Community

China's community building is carried out in the context of social transformation.Because of the gradual disintegration of the traditional unit system,community governance has shown an administrative orientation.Although the administrative management of the community can make up for the social integration problems caused by the disintegration of the unit system,it has seriously hindered the development of community autonomy.The community participation of residents as an important aspect of community autonomy and has been affected by many factors,of which community social capital is an important factor.This study will focus on the impact of community social capital on the participation of residents in the community,and provide new thinking for the urban communities facing this governance dilemma.Based on the questionnaire survey of community residents participating in community activities in Haicang District of Xiamen City in 2014,this study explores the impact of the individual factors of the residents and the three dimensions of the social capital of community on whether the community residents participate in community building activities and the participation of different community building activities.First,this research discusses the impact of the individual factors on the participation of residents in community building activities.After differences analysis and regression analysis,it is found that individual factors show different effects in different analytical models,among them,we can find some individual factors that affect whether residents are involved in community building activities and their participation of different types of community building activities.Therefore,after controlling the individual factors of the residents,this study further explores the impact of community social capital in three dimensions on community participation.The study finds that community social networks and community attachment significantly affect whether residents are involved in community building activities,and play positive roles in its promotion.From the point of view of the specific activities,two dimensions of the community social capital-community trust and community attachment-have significant influences on the participation in community recreational autonomy activities.And for the participation of the community environment improvement activities,the three dimensions of the community social capital all significantly affect it.Throughout the study,it is shown that the community social capital can play a positive role in promoting the community participation of the residents.In the process of community building in our country,the cultivation of social capital,especially community attachment,supports the realization of community autonomy.
