Recognition is an old topic that has been covered for a long time, but it does not mean which is of no importance. From the natural philosopher Johann Gottlieb Fichte to G.W.F.Hegel,Marx and Axel Honneth, they attached great importance to the recognition of the important position in the philosophical discourse.Especially starting from Hegel, recognition began to enter the field of philosophy as a philosophical term.Marx acceded and developed Hegel's theories of "Master-slave-dialectic" and "Struggles for Recognition" by using the historical materialism. He revealed capitalism is a "False Community" and the recognition is not true in this community by criticizing the alienated labor and fetishism.Marx built the recognition theory with the help of labor. He pointed that the real recognition is based on human freedom and it aims to achieve the complete liberation of human. Therefore,Marx announced that labor is the primary need, labor is free and conscious for person and the real recognition between persons can come true by exploring the realm of freedom.Honneth fond an another way and he constructed "moral monism" as his theory of“struggle for recognition on the basic of Hegel's recognition by combination of Mead's social psychology which aroused strong reaction.Today, the research on the recognition on the perspective of Marxist especially historical materialism has important implications for the socialist harmonious with Chinese characteristics and the Chinese Dream. At the same time, the theory of recognition on the field of Marxist philosophy is consistent with the world history theory which is also an important direction for the future development of the community of nations and the global"community of common destiny".
