In recent years,cyber-nationalism has performed prominently in international political news events related to national interests and national dignity, such as the dispute over the South China Sea,the issue of Sadr, and confrontation between the Chinese and Indian armies.Domestic people showed strong nationalist sentiments in these incidents, and cyber-nationalism itself has also undergone great changes. The author believes that the mainstream media should strengthen the guidance of cyber-nationalism public opinion through relevant news reports and ease the nationalist sentiments of the Internet. This article is composed of five chapters. The first chapter is mainly to sort out the research on national cyber-nationalism in China. The second chapter briefly discusses the related concepts of cyber-nationalism and public opinion guidance, and discusses the public opinion about cyber-nationalism in the current mainstream media.A brief analysis of the status quo is introduced. The thirdchapter makes a brief review of the historical sovereignty of the South China Sea and the origin of the South China Sea issue. The fourth chapter is the core part of this article. It mainly analyzes the content of the news reports of the Global Weibo's official microblog on the South China Sea issue. The fifth chapter mainly aims at how mainstream media guides cyber-nationalism and puts forward some suggestions. This article mainly uses text analysis and selects four special time nodes to analyze the news reports of the "Global Times" official microblog on the South China Sea issue. As a whole, the "Global Times" official Weibo report on the issue of the South China Sea is relatively in place. In the early stage,it can timely adjust the focus of news reporting according to the progress of the South China Sea issue. At the same time,it can also make timely suggestions for some cyber-nationalism.In response,we do not shun hotspots and sharp topics and can promptly channel public opinion. However, there are also some deficiencies. The use of conflict frameworks and nationalist frameworks in news reports is not conducive to the creation of a good Internet public opinion environment, and can easily contribute to the nationalistic sentiments of the Internet. In addition, the author finds that there are many "little pinks" around the "Global Times" official Weibo, with a strong nationalistic tendency in their microblogging comments. The author believes that the mainstream media should have a good grasp of relevant news events, not only to respond to the audience's patriotic feelings but also to guard against the proliferation of cyber-nationalism.Through rationally constructing news frameworks, understanding and analyzing the complex network ecological environment of cyber-nationalism,using diverse modes of communication to strengthen rational patriotic education for online audiences, and conducting public opinion guidance on cyber-nationalism,we can guide them to promote national and national institutional development on the right track.
