The Analysis About The Willingness Of The Old To Participate In Mutual Support

In order to deal with the increasingly severe aging situation and the growing pressure of pension,the Mutual Support has emerged in many parts of our country.Mutual support not only gives full play to the subjective initiative of the elderly,allows older people to help each other,but also helps to ease the burden of family and country pension,provides a low-cost choice for the settlement of old-age problems in China.However,the current domestic and international research on Mutual Support focuses on comprehensive and systematic research,but lacks research on specific field and specific stage,and the research is lack of pertinence and depth.Most of the literature use comparative analysis and empirical learning methods to conduct comparative studies on typical international and domestic experience of Mutual Support,while using less quantitative analysis on the factors of willingness to participate,there is a lack of research on the heterogeneity of the elderly.Since the old are a highly heterogeneous group,different factors such as individual characteristics,family status and social support all influence their willingness of participation.Therefore,it is necessary to analyze the willingness of old men by quantitative analysis way.Based on the survey data,this paper uses multiple data analysis methods to analyze the factors affecting the elderly's willingness to participate in Mutual Support.And based on those factors,the paper explores the way of improving older people's willingness to participate in Mutual Support.This paper firstly elaborates the background and significance of the topic selection,collates domestic and foreign related literature,then makes a brief exposition of relevant concept and relevant theory.According to the field survey data of Nanchang City,an empirical study on the old's willingness to participate in Mutual Support is conducted.Three analysis methods,including descriptive analysis,correlation test,and logistic regression,are used.Through descriptive analysis,it is found that in terms of individual characteristics,age,the number of chronic diseases are negatively correlated with the willingness,and other variables are positively related to the willingness to participate;each variable in the family status has a negative effect on the willingness to participate;and social support factors have a positive influence on the willingness to participate.Through correlation analysis,it is found that age and chronic disease in individual characteristics have a negative influence on participation intention,and other variables have a positive role,which is consistent with the results of descriptive statistical analysis;in terms of family status,except for that the frequency of children's visits is not significant,and other variables have a negative correlation with participation willingness;social support variables have a positive correlation with willingness to participate.Through logistic regression analysis,it is found that the influence of gender on participation intention is not significant in individual characteristics.The most significant factors are health status and monthly income level.In terms of family status,marital status,living style,number of children,and frequency of children's visit have a great influence on the willingness.The relationship between children and the elderly does not have a significant effect on the willingness.In terms of social support,neighborhood relations and social organizations have a significant influence on the willingness,and community service satisfaction does not passed the significance test.According to empirical analysis results,the main measures to promote the willingness of old people to participate in Mutual Support include: increasing the economic income of the old,increasing economic support for the old;let the healthy old people play a guiding role,establishing mutual aid group actively;eliminating children's concerns about Mutual Support and obtaining children's support;enhancing the supportive power of social organizations,on the one hand,guiding the investment of private capital,on the other hand,using social organizations such as the Elderly Association to promote Mutual Support.
