Rent-seeking Consumption,government Support And Enterprise's Behavior

The relationship between official corruption and economic operation,especially micro economic operation,has always been a subject of great interest to the academic community.Since the Eighteenth National Congress of the CPC,the Chinese government vigorously promotes anti-corruption work.The effect is obvious,and a large number of corrupt officials have been sacked,which builds a new political and commercial relations between "Close " and "Incorruptible " and purifies the political ecology.This article starts with the perspective of the relationship between the government and the enterprises.We constructed an index to measure the level of the rent-seeking consumption of the enterprise by using the financial data and studied the relationship between rent-seeking consumption level of the enterprise and downfall of local officials.Besides,we also used the model of multiple difference method to study the changes of government support that the high rent-seeking consumption enterprises can obtain before and after the anti-corruption construction,and explored the impact of anti-corruption construction after the 18th CPC National Congress on the efficiency of local government resources allocation.Changes in government support will affect the amount of money held by the enterprise and the confidence index of the entrepreneur,which will affect the attitude of the enterprise to the risk project.Based on the study of the first two parts,we further explored the impact of anti-corruption construction on enterprise risk of high rent-seeking consumption enterprises.The empirical results show that officials sacked can reduce the rent-seeking consumption level of local enterprises,thus reducing the management costs of local enterprises and changing the luxury consumption atmosphere.At the same time,the government subsidies and tax preferences gained by high corruption enterprises reduced significantly after the Eighteenth National Congress of the CPC.This shows that anti-corruption construction can play a role in improving the allocation of local government resources.This proves that anti-corruption construction plays an active role in economic operation.Subsequently,this paper also verifies that anti-corruption campaign can reduce the resource of capital gained by highly corrupt enterprises,so as to reduce the risk of those highly corrupt enterprises.
