| Since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1992,Ukraine and China have maintained steady development of interstate cooperation,avoiding any conflicts of interest or political and economic contradictions.Two countries have yielded substantial results in economic,trade,investment,science and technology,culture cooperation.Ukrainian crisis,erupted at the end of 2013,was the most serious political and economic crisis since the independence of Ukraine.It had a far-reaching impact on the relations among involved countries and the great powers.At the same time,the official cooperation between Ukraine and China instead of growing weaker,experienced new phase of activity increase.This paper analyses the political and economic cooperation between two states since the end of 2013.However,in order to apprehend the changes,happened in Sino-Ukrainian relations after events on Maidan Nezalezhnosti in Kyiv,it is important to grasp the state of cooperation between two countries before 2013 first.The second part involves the question of Sino-Ukrainian strategic partnership,clarifies the current risks in the political dialogue,and gives the insight to how to tackle potential problems.It also goes through the changes that took place in Sino-Ukrainian economic and trade cooperation after the outbreak of the Ukrainian crisis,and focuses on the analysis of the interaction between regions of two states.It also includes the review on the latest examples of successful trade in agriculture,military industry and aerospace.Moreover,it examines the investment activity of China in Ukraine and the problems,two sides encountering,and describes the prospects of the free trade zone establishing between Ukraine and China.The role of Ukraine in the “One Belt,One Road” initiative,the benefits and challenges of its participation and the ways of deepening relations between countries under the initiative’s framework are clarified in the third part. |
