The Ukrainian crisis,which erupted in 2014,was not only an important "turning point" in Ukrainian-Russian relations,but also a turning point in the political structure of Europe and Asia that has existed since the Cold War.Furthermore,it has affected the overall international situation.This article will use history and culture as a starting point to analyze the real politics of the crisis.This paper is divided into five parts.The introduction covers the research significance,research summary,and research methods of this paper.The first chapter mainly introduces Ukrainian-Russian relations in their historical context,and analyzes the three "fission" scars from history and their influence on the relationship between the two countries.The second chapter mainly introduces the transformation of Ukrainian-Russian relations in real politics,and explores how the relations of Ukraine and Russia have developed after the crisis and the new government’s foreign policy towards Russia.The third chapter mainly discusses the primary reasons for the Ukrainian "fission" in the new era.The conclusion of this article mainly summarizes the progression of Ukrainian-Russian relations and draws a number of conclusions on the Ukrainian issue.
