Research On The Construction Of Russian National Image Since Putin Took Power

The national image is a reflection of the country's level of economic and social development,the ability of cultural communication and the level of international status.Especially in today's rapid development of information and globalization,the significance and role of the national image are increasingly valued by countries.The Russian Federation,as the largest successor to the disintegration of the Soviet Union,has undergone tremendous changes for more than 20 years,and its national image has also changed.In Yeltsin period,Russia ignored the construction of the national image of its own country in order to integrate into Western society.With the arrival of President Putin,the research on the national image of Russia has received increasing attention.The formation of a national image cannot be separated from the impact of historical events.The Western interpretation of the Russian national image tends to be negatively evaluated.It can be said that the formation of the "stereotype" impression is inseparable from the past of Russia.In today's society where international exchanges are increasingly close,the positive national image will have a positive impact on politics,economy,culture,and security.How to break the original"stereotype" impression and better construct the Russian national image and make it a better service for Russia's national strategy has also become one of the important tasks of the Putin government.This paper uses the logical structure from the causes to the measures to analyze the construction of the Russian national image.Finally,evaluates and analyzes the achievements of Russia's construction of national image from the perspective of the Russian public and the viewers of the United States and China.There are many constituent elements of the national image,and there are also many factors that affect the construction of the national image.Therefore,the construction of the Russian national image is still a long way to go.
