Research On Tibetan Students' Ethnic And National Identity Problem

With the continuous development of economic globalization,the flow of talents,information,technology and funds among countries is frequent.At the same time,the traditional nation boundaries are becoming more and more blurred.The multi-ethnic community has become the main existence way in most countries.multi-ethnic countries are facing challenges of separatism and identity crisis on varying levels.How to coordinate the relationship between ethnic identity and national identity has become an important issue for the maintenance of the unification of multi-ethnic countries.China is a multi-ethnic country.The 56 ethnics blend together and live together for a long time,forming a good national relationship of "harmony,unity,equality and mutual assistance".Influenced by many factors like history,culture,society and religion,ethnic areas are facing multiple identity problems.The positive development of national identity and ethnic identity is related to the stability and national unity of the border areas.Qinghai Tibet is a multi-ethnic region with Tibetan as the main body.Tibetan students are not only part of the Chinese but also a group of Tibetans,so their ethnic identity and national identity directly affect not only the social stability and economic development in the Qinghai area,but also the future of the new generation.Therefore,exploring and analyzing the current situation and problems of Tibetan students' ethnic identity and national identity in Qinghai area,and then providing countermeasures and suggestions have important and practical meaning for enhancing Chinese national identity and safeguarding ethnic unity.In this paper,the Tibetan Chinese bilingual questionnaire is designed and interviews are carried to understand the relevant situation of the local Tibetan students' ethnic identity and national identity.Influent factors of the ethnic identity and national identity of Tibetan students are analyzed from three aspects(nationality,school and society)based on the survey data and the actual situation of the school.The national strategies,social strategies and school strategies are put forward to further enhance the awareness of ethnic identity and national identity of Tibetan students in Qinghai.
