Research On Cultural Change Of Longjia-Miao Ethnic In Suojia Township Of Liuzhi Special Zone

Globalization is a processing enlarged totally humanity cultures and decreased cultural diversity.Culture change or acculturation is irresistible as same as economic integration.Suojia-Miao is famous for ethnical museum cooperated with Norway in 1998 and situated in Longjia Miao village.From that time onward,the village have suffered intense social change.In macro terms,the livelihood that is mountain farming and hunting types in the past has transformed to farming and outmigrating for work,and also accompanied the characteristics of rural tourism.Cultural level from backward to compulsory education introduced.The level of Social openness constantly deepening,which has changed the "island chain" social mode in 12 traditional Qing-Miao communities.But,the rock-resistible tradition of endogamy has been maintained.Therefore,to a certain extent,Longjia-Miao is a half open and enclose of community,open to cultural and economic exchange,closed in intermarriage.At the micro level,architectural style has changed significantly,the clothing culture that involves raw material processing and production has changed,the elder's authority has been weakening in the process of modernization,and the concept of community members has changed in the tradition and modern encounter.To sum up,the all-round acculturation is pulled by deeply economic and social reform which is a basic element.This treatise is made up four parts:The first part is the introduction.This paper mainly introduces the the value of research,research methods,definition of related concepts of the cultural changes of Longjia-Miao ethnic in detail,and reviews the academic research on the Suojia-Miao ethnic since antiquity.As to the definition of related concepts,the concepts such as the Longjia-Miao ethnic,Suojia-Miao ethnic,Gaoxing village and other nouns as well as cultural change are determined.It also discusses the differences and relations between "Qing Miao" and "Longjiao Miao" which are used to replace the vocabulary of the Suojia-Miao ethnic by scholars.The first chapter mainly describes the basic situation of Longjia-Miao Village,including nature,geography,ecological environment,historical evolution and ethnic migration and so on.During the five big migrations,Miao compatriots moved to Wuling County during the the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period,and then migrated to such places as Guizhou and Yunnan in the Qin and Han dynasties,as well as Yuan,Ming and Qing dynasties.On this basis,the author analyzes,during these periods,why Qingmiao people migrated from Shuixi areas to the deep mountains at the junction of Zhijin and Dafang.The special position of "gold pendant" in the "island chain" community of Longjia-Miao village is also expounded in detail.The second chapter is about Longjia-Miao culture and its changes.It mainly describes the presentation and change of material culture,institutional culture and spiritual culture of the Longjia-Miao ethnic from the micro perspective and in terms of the specific changes of cultural phenomena.Cultural change can be referred to the adaptation to the environment,an important creation process.Taking the cultural changes of Longjia's clothing as an example,it explains the changing function of headdress made of ox horn from “the symbol of power” to the evaluation on whether women are capable and diligent,reflecting the change of the living environment and lifestyle of Qingmiao compatriots.Chapter three,ethnological investigation on the case of local role,is the last but best vital part.Persons,groups and their relation are also major of the situation in Ethnology.In order to record and observe his(her)attitude to cultural change,I selected four roles who live in Longjia Miao village and vividly illustrated in the field works.In this part,I have not instantly talk the present and origin of Longjia but selecting one progress family to reflect the means of education and anti-poverty,a holy vocation to present medical change and clean-village meanings,one museum manager as an outsider who worked in Longjia long times to disclose that museum have a vital catalytic role in Longjia-Miao cultural change,and a new woman involved in trouble between traditional and modernization to describe the reason of confliction with new and traditional values.In a word,this article not only has a microcosmic study of the Miao culture of Longjia,but also has a macroscopic analysis of the social change of the whole Longjia Miao.In the field work and analysis,some conclusions about the migration origin,the difference and connection between the long-corner and the Qing Miao,the reasons for the family marriage system in the Qing-Miao community are obtained.This treatise intends to describe the cultural change of Longjia-Miao community,but a mere three or four chapters is deficient,care for this and lose that.If the part about ‘Ethnological investigation on the case of local role' can be understood,even resonated,which is a bit of contribution for completed understanding the cultural change in Longjia-Miao community.
