The Study Of The Benign Interaction Of History,Environment And National Development

Wujiang is located at the southwest of China,originating in Guizhou,halfway flowing through the territory of Youyang county in Chongqing,and finally entering into the Yangtze River.Wujiang in history was an important water transportation channel connecting southwest regions,especially during the Anti-Japanese War,Wujiang shipping had reached the peak of development because Wujiang plays an important role of transporting goods and materials.The Gongtan Ancient Town was built along Wujiang,and developed because the materials needed for shipping in Wujiang were transported in the old town.The population of Gongtan is mainly composed of Tujia people.The history of more than one thousand years has created the unique ancient town form of Gongtan,and now it has become a historical and cultural tourism town.This paper uses ethnographic fieldwork,historical literature collection,oral history records and other research methods to study the development process and environmental changes in the past one hundred years from the Anti-Japanese War to the present.This paper focuses on the analysis of the interaction among the history,environment and development of the Gongtan Ancient Town,and puts forward some suggestions to deal with the relationship among them in the development process of the old town in the future.During the interview,there are different representative interviews selected respectively,especially the elderly people,through their talk,they dig Gongtan's historical memory in the period of Anti-Japanese War.The whole text is divided into five chapters.The first chapter and the second chapter analyze the history of the Wujiang shipping and the Gongtan Ancient Town,beginning with the two perspectives of Wujiang shipping and the Gongtan Ancient Town.The third chapter studies the environmental changes in the past hundred years,including changes in political environment,changes in military environment,changes in social environment,changes in natural environment.The fourth chapter introduces the Gongtan's national development situation,the Gongtan's relocation work and the tourism industry are another flourishing development peak after shipping time.The fifth chapter analyzes the interaction among the three aspects of the history,environment and development,and interprets it from the perspective of the Historical Particularism.From the Anti-Japanese War to the present,it is a period of rapid social transformation.As a small town with rich historical and cultural features,Gongtan witnessed the change process of all aspects of society in the past hundred years.Through the record,analysis and study of the development process of Gongtan,the author hopes to ravel out the development of Gongtan in the past hundred years.In the history,thousands of toiling people in the Gongtan Ancient Town,together with the history of the rise and fall of Wujiang shipping and Gongtan Ancient Town,are also worth writing.
