US-Russia relations are one of the most important bilateral relations in the world today.The development of bilateral relations and the trend of bilateral policies have had a profound impact on the entire world.Only by understanding the reasons for the changes in US-Russia relations,scientifically analyzing their ideas and methods when solving international problems,and learning and learning from them,can we effectively resolve international disputes and safeguard world peace and stability.After Obama took office as president,the United States began to reset US-Russian relations,which brought about new changes in US-Russian relations.From 2009 to 2016,during the eight-year term of Obama,China-US-Russia relations experienced a resurgence to a worsening,and then confrontation.In the existing theory of bilateral relations,the analysis of the theory of trust between countries is based on historical research,and the systematic judgment from the strategic level can more comprehensively examine the process of changes in bilateral relations,and thus use the theory of trust between countries to analyze The change in US-Russia relations is an effective path.This paper interprets the evolution of US-Russian relations with the analysis framework of inter-state trust,and adopts a relative valuation research method to explain the reasons for the failure of reset,thus presenting a clearer picture of the evolution of US-Russian relations.This paper takes the American-Russian trust relationship in the Obama period as the research object,and focuses on the analysis of the factors affecting the relationship,the relationship,the shared threat and the threat perception in the US-Russia relationship.In the course of the research,taking the influence factors of Obama's trust before taking office as the reference object,he analyzes the factors affecting the trust of Obama before,during the first term and the second term,and relatively assigns the factors affecting the trust of the United States and Russia at different stages.And use the key factor accumulation method to accumulate,and get the score of the degree of trust.Finally,comparing the specific scores of the degree of trust between the United States and Russia at each stage,the trajectory of the degree of trust between the United States and Russia during the Obama period is formed.The results of the study show that during the first term of Obama,the degree of trust between the United States and Russia showed a small peak.At the end of the second term,the United States and Russia had the same level of trust before Obama took office.Overall,the Obama administration's process of restarting US-Russia relations ended in failure.The Obama administration hopes to rebuild US-Russian trust,promote the improvement of US-Russian relations,and establish a new type of partnership based on cooperation.However,when Obama left office,this hope has disappeared.The degree has not changed and bilateral relations have deteriorated.From the research in this article,we know that the United States and Russia have different views on the improvement of bilateral relations.The obstacles to"reset"have not been eliminated,so it will be difficult to achieve fundamental changes in US-Russian relations.
