In recent decades,the research on public service motivation has received more and more attention,and has made great progress.At present,China's research on public service motivation has entered a stage of rapid development.New era,new weather,new requirements,new challenges,this is the history that the civil servants have already experienced and the challenges they will face.In order to better meet the challenges of the new era,it is necessary to further improve the service efficiency of public officials,work attitude and Service motivation.This paper takes the civil servants of G city as the research object,understands the development of public service motivation and work input,analyzes the relationship between different personal attribute variables and public service motivation and work input,and adopts the “public service motivation,work input and work performance questionnaire”."For research tools,after factor analysis,reliability analysis,descriptive statistics,t-test,Pearson correlation coefficient,regression analysis and other statistical methods for data processing,the study found that:(1)Public service motivation is significantly correlated with job performance.Secondary variables have no significant correlation between emotional motivation and job performance.(2)Work input is significantly related to job performance.Among them,the work of secondary variables is not significantly related to job performance.(3)Work input plays a partial intermediary role in public service motivation and job performance.Finally,based on the research results,suggestions are made to increase the public service motivation evaluation in the civil service recruitment stage;public service motivation is included in the performance appraisal;and a supportive work environment is created.
