Research On Upholding And Improving The Leadership Of The Communist Party Of China In The New Era

The leadership of the Party is a commonplace,but also a new issue for any political Party across the world,and that is especially true to the Communist Party of China.Since the foundation of the Communist Party of China,it has become the historical mission of leading the revolution,and our Party has gained the core leadership in the long course of revolution.After entering the period of construction and reform,the core leadership of the CPC has not been weakened,instead it becomes more prominent.The Party clearly recognizes that the construction of leadership is by no means a one-time task: the previous leadership is not meant to be a current leadership,and neither the current one means a forever leadership.The awareness against potential dangers is the premise for a political Party to become invincible.The new era features both opportunities and challenges,and China will remain in the period of strategic opportunity in a long run,therefore,the leadership of the CPC plays a decisive role in motivating the greatest creativity through building consensus.But at the same time,with the deepening of reform,the four major risks and four major tests will exist for a fairly long time at present and in the future.Therefore,upholding and improving the Party's leadership in the new era has the far-reaching significance of benefiting the present and the future.This study mainly adopts the methods of multidisciplinary research,literature research and inductive analysis.Through the study of specific meetings,decisions,and leaders' speeches concerning the leadership of the CPC,it will sort out and analyze all relevant contents.This study consists of an introduction,a body and a conclusion.The introduction mainly explains the background and research significance of the study,the current research and its evaluations,the research content,the research methods both at home and abroad,as well as the innovation of the this thesis.The body is divided into four parts.The first one mainly expounds the exploration of the Party's leadership in various periods.irst of all,it identifies the concept of the Party's leadership,and the exploration of it is to be parted into three periods: the exploration of Party's leadership during the period of the new-democratic revolution,the exploration from the founding of the People's Republic of China to the opening of the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Communist Party of China,as well as the one since the opening of Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the CPC,and it teases out the measures of Party's leadership through a combination with specific background analysis.The second part discusses the higher requirements proposed for the upholding and improvement of the Party's leadership,namely,its necessities in the new era.It mainly begins with the statement of the necessity of Party's leadership from four inevitable requirements,that is,the role of Party's leadership,deepening reform in all areas,law-based governance in all fields,and dealing with the changes in the international situation,besides,the four necessities focus on itself,domestic and international factors.The third part analyzes the prominent problems and their causes in upholding and improving the Party's leadership at present.It mainly expounds from the following aspects: Firstly,to analyze the issue of a weakening Party's leadership specifically through four aspects: the Party's ability to lead politically,to guide through theory,to organize the people,and to inspire society.Secondly,it will analyze the issue that the requirements of Party's leadership system and overall leadership are not yet fully adapted to some specific systems,that is,democratic centralism,the systems of Party congress,Party committee,combining the Party's collective leadership with individual responsibility based on division of work,as well as request for report;Thirdly,some Party members and leading officials have weak four consciousnesses,thus to maintain political integrity,think in terms of the big picture,follow the leadership core,and keep in alignment with the central Party leadership.Fourthly,the Party's leadership at the grassroots unit needs to be further strengthened,and the current situation is listed as follows: the weakening leadership core of the basic-level Party organizations,the fading political functions of the basic-level Party organizations,and the formalized implementation of basic-level Party organization system.The fourth part elaborates the countermeasures and ideas to uphold and improve the Party leadership in the new era,and it mainly discusses from the following aspects: First,to effectively improve the Party's ability to govern and lead,we should strengthen eight dimensions of our ability for governance.Second,to vigorously strengthen the construction of Party's advancement and purity,which is to be specifically carried out from solving the problems of serious defects in ideology,organization,and the style of work;Third,to advance and uphold the Party's leadership system;Fourth,to strengthen the four consciousnesses and uphold the Party's centralized and unified leadership;Fifth,to persistently strengthen the construction of basic-level Party organization.The conclusion part is a summary and supplement to the content of this study.
