Political identity is an important topic in the field of political science, psychology and sociology, which contains many aspects. From the perspective of psychology, political identity representatives the recognition of all aspects of the political system of the citizen. At the action level,Citizens adjust their political behavior in accordance with the rules of the political system. In the view of interaction, political identity is the product of the repeated practice between citizen and the political system in political life.In this process, they try to influence each other.Political identity is of great significance for enhancing national cohesion and maintaining political stability and legitimacy. In the process of shaping and consolidating political identity, many external factors such as political system, government performance, and economic environment will have different effects.Under the guidance of rational choice, citizens will also have different attitudes and perceptions of political systems. However,Political identity is a kind of attitude of human beings,so it also has strong irrational characteristics. The"Halo Effect" and "Herd Mentality' are the main manifestations of this irrational factor. The external factors ultimately affect the inner feelings of the people and then influence the shaping and consolidation of political identity. In the past few years,a large number of literatures have explored the formation mechanism of political identity and the effect of institutions and performances. The research on the identification of subjective emotions is relatively fragmented. Therefore, this paper attempts to focus on citizen, and pay attention to the perspective of historical change to analysis citizen's emotional demands and political identity under the turning point of politics, economy and social form. Therefore, this paper chooses three time nodes to analyze how the emotional factors influenced political identity, such as the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the reform and opening up,and the accession to the WTO.And under these influences, what measures the state has adopted to satisfy the emotional appeals of the citizens'changes, thereby achieving the goal of consolidating political identity.Based on the past research, this paper expounds the concept, characteristics, external manifestations and sources of political identity, and points out the role of interest and emotional factors in the process of shaping political identity, and constructs a theoretical framework for later analysis.Next, from the early days of the founding of China, the new stage of reform and opening up,and the accession to the WTO,I will summarize the political, economic and social conditions of these three periods and the emotional appeals of the shaping of political identity. In the early days of the founding of China, the main appeals of emotions were the weak self-awareness of the individual, the desire to have a safe haven from a powerful regime, and the psychological expectation of the country to restore economic construction and improve living standardsThe main appeals in the early stage of reform and opening up are the inner confusion under the predicament of the vacuum of faith and the urban-rural income gap accompanied by the initial development of the market economy, which caused sense of injustice.Nowadays, the degree of globalization has deepened, and the development of the economy and information technology has made the emotional appeals at this time mainly reflected in strengthening mainstream values and regulating the network order, thereby controlling the negative impact of political emotions. The problem of developmental differences between regions still exists. Therefore,it is necessary to take corresponding measures to alleviate citizens' feelings of deprivation and injustice to satisfy citizens' emotional appeals.Paying attention to the emotional factors of citizen in social changes, providing guidance of resource capture of political identity,is also conducive to transforming the direct resources(economic and political interests)into the political emotions of citizens In the formation of political identity,I hope that this paper can provide some contributions for how to achieve a good relationship between citizen and the political system in the highly developed and changing social ecology.
