Research On Chinese Youth Volunteer Participation

With the promotion of the institutionalization of volunteerism in China,it is becoming more and more important to train their own skills at the individual level and to cultivate the role of voluntary service of excellent citizens in the youth community at the social level.However,there are still some problems in the process of Chinese youth voluntary participation,which hinders the development of Chinese youth voluntary service.Under social exchange theory,30 young volunteers with different roles and their clients were interviewed with Unstructured-interview method,based on the theory of social ethics.Discussion on the problems existing in China's youth voluntary participation and the reasons,and stand in the position of social workers to put forward intervention recommendations.It is found that there are six major issues such as:young volunteers were forced to volunteer;voluntary participation aims utilitarian;voluntary participation excessive sanctifying;voluntary service "utilized"and volunteerism formalized in the volunteer participation of Chinese youth.;volunteer service professional low-level.And these problems are under the background of the lack of faith and the lack of legal protection system,the index on the macro-level is king,the hierarchy is strict,the logic of voluntary service running at various levels and the individual's excessive rationality at the micro-level are given orders at various levels.Inadequate voluntary management,lack of professional volunteer knowledge,etc.Formed under the action of joining forces.In view of these reasons,from the point of view of social workers,this study puts forward the values of social work,such as the principle of dependence,the principle of demand and the principle of respect,at the macro level,and advocates the establishment of a more perfect voluntary security system.At the micro level,evaluation is used to promote the network management of voluntary organizations;In order to promote more Chinese youth to participate in volunteerism and promote the development of Chinese youth volunteer service,the youth volunteer group service can make up the loophole in the professional volunteerism knowledge of young volunteers in order to promote the participation of Chinese youth in volunteerism.
