The Impact Of Mobile Phone Use On The Socialization Of Left-behind Children

The development of China s economic is imbalance between urban and rural areas.The phenomenon of left-behind children in China's rural areas is caused by young and middle-aged farmers go to work in the city.Left-behind children lack parental companionship,The media become their spiritual companion and caregiver.In the past,television media was the medium with the most contact with left-behind children,which had a greater impact on the socialization of left-behind children.With the development of social,mobile phones are becoming more and more popular among left-behind children.The main purpose of this paper is to explore the impact of mobile phone use on the socialization of Left-behind children.Through questionnaires and interviews with left-behind children in Lixin County of Anhui Province.The study found that at present,the proportion of left-behind children in rural children is relatively large,the phenomenon that both parents of rural left-behind children are going out is more common,and the separation between parents and children is long-term,and the gathering time is short.Overall,the socialization of left-behind children is weaker than that of non-left-behind children,In addition to living ability,left-behind children develop better,left-behind children is lower than that of non-left-behind children in terms of social interaction,social norms and learning.The study found that among children who used mobile phones almost every day and used mobile phones for more than 12 hours per week,the proportion of left-behind children was much larger than that of non-left-behind children.In the sample,the proportion of left-behind children with their own mobile phones is 85%,and mobile phones are basically popular among left-behind children.Although the functions of the mobile phone are numerous,the mobile phone usage of the left-behind children is the entertainment tendency is obvious.On the whole,the negative impact of mobile phone use on the socialization of left-behind children is greater.In particular,the higher the frequency of use of mobile phones and the longer the length of use of mobile phones,the worse the social norms,social interactions,and learning conditions of left-behind children.In the aspect of mobile phone function use,the left-behind children who prefer to use shopping applications have stronger ability to live,and the children who prefer news and learning applications have better learning situation and social norms compliance.Left-behind children who prefer entertainment mobile phone applications are weak in all aspects of socialization.
