Study On The Ability Of Local Government Governance By Television Policy In The Age Of Media Convergence

With the openness and transparency of government administration,citizens' awareness of participating in and discussing politics keeps awakening.At present,the government is not good enough in providing ways for citizens to participate in politics to meet their needs,which puts forward new requirements for the government's governance ability.As the first station to contact with the public,local government shoulders the important role of maintaining local public security,ensuring local economic development and improving people's living standards.Under such circumstances,local government governance cannot only rely on the administrative execution of government organs,but also needs to mobilize the whole society.In the era of media convergence,the media has become more and more powerful in supervising government governance,increasing the communication and coordination between the government and the public,and providing new ways for citizens to participate in and discuss politics.TV political inquiry is a brand new public political inquiry program under the background of media convergence.As an effective form for media and the public to participate in social governance and public affairs.Now political inquiry theoretical study and practical experience on TV is still in its infancy,it has some defects and shortcomings,but it is undeniable that the practice in recent years,the value of TV political inquiry has gradually highlights from the government level,it facilitates easy access to public opinion and further change ideas and helps the government establish service consciousness,enhance the government credibility;From the perspective of the public,it broadens the channels of public demands,stimulates the enthusiasm of public participation in politics and democratic consciousness,and is an important means for the public to safeguard their own rights and interests.TV political inquiry has touched the key to government governance in the form of power supervision that confronts problems.With its continuous improvement and development,constantly optimize and improve the governance capacity of local government,and promote the modernization of China's political democracy and governance capacity.Based on the investigation of the development of TV political inquiry programs in China,this paper attempts to create a new way of local government governance and optimize the local government governance capacity in the form of TV political inquiry.Analyze the current development status of TV political in improving government governance capabilities,identify problems and causes of existing systems,forms,and technologies,and improve from four aspects: perfect monitoring mechanism,perfect participation,program evaluation system,and compliance with media development.Government supervision,service,governance,and decision-making capabilities have brought TV development into a good posture.Xinle City's “TV Policy” is the first TV program in Hebei Province.As a county-level city,Xinle's economic and cultural level is similar to that of most places in China.Taking Xinle's TV politics inquiry as an example,The case study has played an active role in the governance of Xinle City in strengthening administrative supervision,broadening the channels of political affairs,and enhancing the credibility of the government,and providing experience for the governance development of other regions.Based on the theory of governance,administrative participation theory,media social responsibility theory and other related theories,this paper analyzes the effectiveness of TV politics in improving local government governance capabilities,and proposes improvement measures and recommendations.
