Discussions On The Leaders’ Ability To Cope With Media In New Media Era

New media era presents China’s leaders new challenges to cope with media. Inrecent years, many leaders in China make behave fool in front of the media, and evensome of them cause new trouble. The reasons on one hand is the policies and regulationsis not perfect, which makes the leaders can not find a legal or policy for certain whenthey dealing with the media. On the other hand, because today’s media have to deal withthe vicious competition, their role has serious dislocation that lead them cannot providethe harmonious and orderly environment for leaders when they face the media. Also,some leaders’ capacity to response media is weak, they lack of understanding andapplication of the new media, causing many mistakes. In order to comprehensivelyimprove the leaders’ ability to cope with the media, we should take measures from thefollowing three aspects. Firstly, perfect the relevant news media policies and regulationsto provide the basic guarantee for coping media. Secondly, strengthen the media itself tocreate a favorable objective conditions for the leaders to enhance the media ability.Thirdly, the leaders should continue to learn and improve their media literacy and abilitylevel,and master the basic principles and strategies of how to response to media, finallyto get the purpose to manage and use the new media.
