The Indo-China peninsula has received the attention of the international community because of its large economic growth potential. The Republic of Korea as the first country in the world to be transformed into a donor country by the OECD recipient countries, there is an extraordinary sense of mission to provide assistance to developing countries. The Republic of Korea's ODA to the Asian region accounts for 53.8%of total Korean aid. With the focus of ASEAN countries, about 50%of aid is allocated to ASEAN countries, and a unified aid system has been established in the Indo-China Peninsula.Research the history and current situation of The Republic of Korea's ODA to the Indo-China Peninsula, and summing up the experience of The Republic of Korea's ODA,and discovering the shortcomings of Korea's implementation of the official development assistance system and specific projects,it has important practical significance. This article focuses on Korea status quo, challenges and prospects of official development assistance in four countries Vietnam,Myanmar,Laos and Cambodia. The author believes that in order to achieve economic growth and development in the Indo-China Peninsula, solving the poverty alleviation within the region and narrowing the development gap has become the most important area. The author also introduces the concept of soft power and describes the relationship between soft power and official development assistance.Overall,Korea's ODA assistance compared with other ad-vanced countries, the size of The Republic of Korea's total assistance to lower the proportion of national income.Compared with major competing countries such as China and Japan,The Republic of Korea has a small scale of assistance, lacks experience, and lacks research strength in soft power. These flaws will even bring The Republic of Korea a negative image of pursuing the interests of donor countries. In addition, the goals of sustainable development have become The Republic of Korea reflect on the current "non-discriminatory"manner of assistance and the opportunity to think more broadly path of the new official development aid.I believe that through the new Asian diplomatic concept, the Korea-ASEAN Special Summit, and the Korea-Mekong Foreign Ministers' Meeting,The Republic of Korea aims to strengthen economic and diplomatic relations between The Republic of Korea and Asian countries by expanding official development assistance in the Asian region. The Republic of Korea's foreign official development assistance has many key countries and a wide range. However,The Republic of Korea still faces a series of limitations in its assistance to the countries of the Indo-China Peninsula. The Republic of Korea is currently facing not only competition with neighboring countries, but also problems such as imperfect government policies and unclear sustainable development goals. The Republic of Korea can learn from China and Japan and set up special institutions to improve the official development assistance system and help achieve sustainable development goals. In The Republic of Korea's official development assistance,it is also necessary to consider the role of soft power and use The Republic of Korea's soft power to promote The Republic of Korea's foreign development assistance.
