The problem of population aging has become a hot topic in today’s society. As early as 1999,the number of elderly people in China reached 132 million, accounting for more than 10% of the total population, which marked China’s entry into an aging society.According to the Beijing Municipal Committee on Aging Work,“White Paper on Beijing’s Aging Career Development and Pension System Construction(2017)”,the number of elderly people over 60 years old in Beijing has reached 3.33 million, accounting for 24.5% of the total registered population.Faced with the severe aging situation, the development of the aged care service industry has become an important issue related to people’s livelihood. This requires a clear understanding of the current status of the elderly population and aged care facilities,as well as the issues and deficiencies in the distribution of resources. This will better support the development of the future aged care industry.Based on the data of “Beijing City Home Care Services Related Facilities”,this paper analyzes the spatial distribution of the elderly population and old-age service facilities in Beijing under the background of population aging.First, the status quo and spatial distribution of the elderly population in the city are analyzed. The results show that:(1)In general, the number of elderly people in Beijing is large and the degree of aging is high.(2)In terms of space, the trend of the elderly population decreasing from the six districts to the periphery is obvious;from the perspective of street towns and towns, the degree of aging of the whole population is generally high;the population concentration of the elderly population shows an obvious circle structure. Then, the status quo and spatial distribution of old-age resources in Beijing are analyzed. It is found that:(1)From the perspective of quantity, there are obvious differences in the distribution of old-age facilities in Beijing, and the distribution is uneven;spatial hotspot distribution is a mixed diffusion and non-equilibrium diffusion model; In terms of scale, the scale of old-age facilities varies greatly, and large institutions are mostly distributed in the outer suburbs.(2)Beijing’s medical facilities are concentrated in the city’s six districts, with fewer outer suburbs;space hotspots are concentrated in the central urban area, and spread outwards sharply;from the scale, the city’s six districts are much larger than the outer suburbs. Finally, the spatial accessibility of Beijing’s old-age resources is analyzed. The results show that:(1)the spatial accessibility of old-age facilities is unevenly distributed;the accessibility level of the six districts is generally higher, and the central urban areas are basically up to standard.Suburban accessibility rate is lower.(2)The spatial accessibility of medical facilities is quite different;the accessibility of urban six districts is generally higher;while the suburbs are lower.
