The Social Stability Risk Assessment Of T County City Square Project:Problems,causes And Countermeasures

Currently,China's economy and society are developing rapidly;economic and social transformation and upgrading are accelerating,and various social contradictions are emerging one after another.The risk factors of social stability are increasing.Major group incidents are caused by improper handling of a series of small contradictions,such as the 2007 PX incident in Xiamen,the 2008 Weng'an incident in Guizhou,and the 2010 “611 Incident” in Maanshan,Anhui.Such incidents have brought tremendous pressure on the government's social governance and seriously affected social stability.In order to solve similar problems,the government has explored and established a social stability risk assessment system in the process of resolving contradictions,and it has played a positive role in resolving social contradictions and source prevention.At the same time,the awareness of public rights has been continuously raised,and the need for independent participation in government social governance has increased.However,the lack of public's right to know and express themselves has become a new feature of social contradictions to a certain extent.Coupled with the rapid development of emerging media such as the current network,how to effectively improve the quality and effectiveness of social stability risk assessment becomes even more important.This paper starts from the government policy of optimizing social stability risk assessment.Firstly,based on risk management theory,social combustion theory and information asymmetry theory,it mainly focuses on the concept of social stability risk,social stability risk assessment system and social stability risk assessment.The indicators,highlights and main procedures were elaborated.Secondly,this paper takes the example of the city square project in T county,and focuses on the main practices of social stability risk assessment in T county,especially the basic procedures for implementing social stability risk assessment in urban square projects.In the whole process of promoting the social stability risk assessment for the T county,the analysis found the problems and their causes,and provided conditions for exploring the following solutions.Finally,propose countermeasures and suggestions based on the specific problems found in the analysis of the T county project.At the same time,it serves as an effective reference for the government to promote social governance activities beyond social stability risk assessment.
