The social integration of non-resident population refers to the process of mutual exchange, tolerance, identification and integration between non-resident population and individual residents, between groups, and between different regional cultures. In the end,the non-resident population will become urban residents from both facts and psychology, achieving social stability. With the non-registered population and local residents as the main research objects, two surveys were conducted, which were divided into questionnaires and interviews. In addition, interviews and group visits were conducted to the departmental staff of the grassroots organizations as evidence.According to the collected data, the factor analysis method is used to determine the social integration index of non-resident population.Analysis of the current situation of social integration based on the perspective of non-registered population and local residents. In line with the group difference of non-resident population social integration, four social integration models of “isolated”,“selective”,“integrated” and “integrated” are summarized.Suggestions for non-resident population, local residents and the government are proposed based on the different characteristics of each model. This study found that the relationship between non-resident population and local residents has not yet seen serious contradictions and conflicts. At present, the overall social integration of non-resident population is a selective integration. The two-way choice between non-resident population and local residents reflects that the social integration process of non-resident population is unidirectional. There are two main points about the innovation of this article:The first is the uniqueness of regional choice. In the past domestic social integration research, most scholars pay attention to the economically developed first-and second-tier cities,or economic zones. The most basic unit of social integration-the nearest third-and fourth-line towns with rural areas are less, and these areas are also the areas that need the most attention and attention in urbanization projects, the survey area selected inthis paper is a town with a large non-registered population..The second is the integrity of the research object. The research object of this paper is non-domestic population, covering the floating population and all those who have not obtained local household registration in urban migration, including migrant workers. The three subjects involved in the process of social integration, the non-registered population, the local residents of the inflow areas, social organization and the government are all sources of research data, making this study somewhat exploratory. There are also shortcomings in this article:First, the data of the special survey on social integration is only half a year, and the interval is short. It has certain limitations in reflecting the changes in the integration. The second is the use of various data and materials such as special questionnaires, censuses, and case interviews.Due to the lack of maturity of the questionnaires, there are some problems in data integration.Third, the analysis of the social integration status of non-resident population in this study is applicable to other towns and remains to be further explored.Fourth, the purpose of comparative analysis of local residents as a non-resident population survey is to explore the status of mutual acceptance of the main subjects in the integration.According to the attitude research of local residents, because the professional nature and geographical restrictions still stay in a small scope,it is necessary to expand the scope of research from a deeper level to further explore.
