A Study On The Path Of Expanding Citizens' Political Participation By Lanzhou Municipal People's Congress

Civic political participation is a form of democracy which emerged from Western countries in the middle and late nineteenth century,and it has been proved by practice that this form of democracy has strong applicability and effectiveness.In recent years,based on the deepening of reform and opening up and the gradual development of political civilization,citizen's participation in political activities and political decision-making has been gradually introduced into the field of public administration,and has been well developed.As one of the important ways of citizen political participation,local people's Congresses play an important role in expanding citizen political participation.In recent years,local people's Congresses have made a lot of beneficial exploration and innovation according to their own practice.Against this social background,this paper uses the theory of public participation and governance and related viewpoints,the method of literature research,case study,from the angle of public political participation,the public participation in political activities and political decision-making through the local people's Congresses as the starting point for the study of the basic patterns and difficulties in public political participation in lanzhou city,based on the experience of innovation and expansion of civic political participation in other cities in China.This paper proposes a set of effective ways to expand the path of citizen political participation in China,in order to provide theoretical basis and some guidance for the development of citizen political participation in China.
