Reciprocity And Symbiosis:A Study Of The Economic Interaction Ethnic Groups In Lintan County

Lintan County is located on the eastern edge of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and the transitional zone between the Han-Tibet Corridor.Historically,it is a frontier zone for exchanges between the inner area and the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.It is now a mixed area of Han,Hui and Tibetan people and a multi-religious cultural blending area.From the perspective of reciprocity and symbiosis,this dissertation explores the ways,processes and characteristics of ethnics economic exchanges,explores the basic role of economic exchanges in building a harmonious development of multi-ethnic society,and reveals the strategies of multi-ethnic reciprocity and symbiosis.The introduction expounds the origin and significance of the topic selection,the research summary,the theoretical support of the research and the field overview of Lintan County.The second part traces the development and changes of the Lintan inter-ethnic economic exchange during the period from the Ming and Qing Dynasties to modern society.The ethnics economic relationship and the influence on social culture in the trade in different periods;the third part is based on the field investigation of Chengguan Town in Lintan County,presenting the status quo of economic exchanges between Hui and Han,and the economic and trade forms of Lintan County are diverse.The aspect continues the traditional trade in history,and the other side absorbs the new era and new forms of trade industry,thus presenting traditional industries such as commodity market,Hummer market,labor market,ethnic products market,temple fair economy,running cart,and Cordyceps trade.The status quo is compatible with the new industry;the fourth part discusses the influence of economic interaction on the language,inter-ethnic marriage and religion of Lintan.The dissertation believes that the relationship between ethnics economic exchanges is the basis of the inter-ethnic relationship in Lintan.The interaction of inter-ethnic economic interaction promotes the generation and development of inter-ethnic reciprocity and symbiosis.The impact is not limited to trade andinter-ethnic mutual benefit,but promoted broadly the construction and development of other relationships.The reciprocal behavior in economic exchanges compensates for the psychological barriers and communication barriers brought about by the differences between ethnic cultures.The people of all ethnic groups are based on economic and mutually beneficial relations,and then have positive interactions in cultural,religious and inter-ethnic marriages.The wide-ranging interactions between different levels of inter-ethnicity based on economic exchanges have gradually weakened the ethnic boundaries,and the regional harmonious inter-ethnic relations have been consolidated and developed.In addition,through the consideration of Lintan inter-ethnic economic relations,it is also found that the differences and competitions between ethnic groups do not necessarily lead to barriers and conflicts.Cultural differences and benign competitions also contribute to the interaction and integration of inter-ethnic interactions.
