Burnout refers to a long-term reaction that an individual cannot respond to work stress and deal with complicated work with a positive attitude due to long-term stress,overwork,and lack of effective support and recognition.Since the 21 st century,people's life rhythm is accelerating,and the pace of work is also the same.Burnout has long been one of the most common problems in the workplace,and workers of any age may have burnout.Policeman is a very special profession.Its working environment is more dangerous than any profession,and its work content is more complicated and changeable.Police officers have been under tremendous pressure to complete all kinds of work in a crisis-ridden work environment.In addition,the people's expectations for public security work are getting higher and higher,and more and more demands are being made,making many police officers react a sense of exhaustion towards their job.Over time,this kind of fatigue will replace enthusiasm as their normal work,and will increase their sense of job burniness to a certain extent,so that their work efficiency will continue to decrease,which will threaten their physical and mental health and ultimately threaten the stability and development of society.This paper takes the problem of police officers' burnout in Gansu Province as the starting point.From the perspective of public security work environment,more than 200 police officers with different ranks and on different posts from Lanzhou City,Zhangye City,Longnan City and Gannan Prefecture of Gansu Province were issued a questionnaire on burnout in the process of on-the-spot investigations.According to the final investigation,the data were analyzed to understand the current situation of the burnout of the police officers in Gansu Province.The individual environment,organizational environment,institutional environment and external environment were taken as points to deeply analyze the root causes of the burnout of the policemen in Gansu Province.Referring to the practical and successful experiences at home and abroad on solving the burnout of the policemen,the countermeasures and suggestions to alleviate the problem were put forward,which could provide effective references for the construction of the public security team in Gansu Province.
