The Relationship Between Chinese Public Sphere Structure Change And Political Communication In The Age Of Internet

Public sphere is a kind of space between the public power sphere and the private sphere.The purpose of this field is to restrict and supervise the operation of public power,and to express the private political appeals from the private sphere.Therefore,an important function and content of the public sphere is the political communication.There is an interactive relationship between the structural changes of the public sphere and the political communication,which is more obvious and prominent in the Internet age.In modern China,the development of market economy has promoted the development of China's private sphere,the rapid growth of social forces,social self-management has become a normal.The growth of society provides the basis for the growth of China's public sphere.Since 1978,the structure of Chinese public sphere has shown the process that starting from scratch,and from small to large.After entering in twenty-first Century,the development of Internet technology further extends the public sphere,the structure of the public sphere continues to expand.At the same time,as a kind of communication technology,the Internet has increased the number of participants in the public sphere,more citizens can express their demands and opinions in the public sphere through this technical means.The complex and diverse information on the Internet is a test of the maturity of citizen's public rationality,and also examines the status of the development of civil society in China.The interaction between the public sphere and the political communication is also reflected in the development of the public sphere.First of all,the increase in the number of participants in the public sphere has also increased the number of political communication.Secondly,in the public sphere,the expression of individuality and common people urge the reform of political communication discourse system.Again,the use of Internet technology in the public sphere to enhance the timeliness of information dissemination,information transmission will not use the traditional channels and process for spreading,mass information can be informed by the public for the first time.However,the growth of public sphere also leads to a problem,that how to distinguish the freedom of expression from rumor.There is an obscure line between the protection of citizens' liberty of speech and the fight against crimes of rumormongering.How to identify and cognizance the responsibility of the information disseminator,will be a new requirement for the public administration.Based on the public sphere structural change since Chinese reform and opening up,this paper tries to explore the interactive relationship between the structural changes of the public sphere and the political communication in the Internet age through the two major public events: Sun Zhi-gang event(2003)and the "7.23" accident(2011).Compare the political communication characteristics in Internet times with pre-internet times,and analysis what factors influence the interactive relationship.
