On Critical Thinking In The Analysis Of Public Security Intelligence

With the in-depth development of big data application and the continuous promotion of intelligence-led policing strategy,public security intelligence work has been unprecedented development and attention.Public security intelligence analysis is the most critical and challenging link in public security intelligence work.It is the key for the public security organs to obtain the deep public security intelligence and the premise for the decision makers to make scientific decisions.In public security intelligence analysis,the thinking mode of intelligence analysts plays a key role in the process and result of intelligence analysis.Because of the complexity of information environment and the limitation of people’s cognition,intelligence analysts are prone to make intelligence mistakes in intelligence analysis.Critical thinking is the re-thinking of thinking,which can help intelligence analysts to overcome the influence of the inherent thinking mode in the mind,reflect and adjust the reasoning process in intelligence analysis,make accurate judgment and draw appropriate conclusions.This paper attempts to introduce critical thinking into the intelligence analysis of public security,so as to optimize the intelligence analysis process,reduce intelligence errors and obtain high-quality intelligence products.There are five parts in this paper: the first part is the introduction,which explains the research background,research significance and research status of relevant fields at home and abroad.The second part studies the connotation,characteristics and structure of critical thinking,and expounds the importance of critical thinking in the analysis of public security intelligence.The third part takes the thinking set as an example to analyze the manifestation of the thinking set in the analysis of public security intelligence,and expounds that the thinking set in the analysis of public security intelligence can be effectively solved by using critical thinking.The fourth part studies the integration of critical thinking and public security intelligence analysis process,and discusses the application of critical thinking in each link of public security intelligence analysis process: critical thinking helps intelligence analysts to accurately grasp the task of intelligence analysis,comprehensively review and judge information,evaluate and verify hypotheses,and improve the quality of intelligence products.The fifth part elaborates the cultivation of critical thinking in the intelligence analysis of public security: that is,to attach importance to the education and training of critical thinking,to create an organizational environment conducive to the development of critical thinking,and to strengthen the promotion of critical thinking ability in intelligence practice.
