The Research Of Chinese Citizen's Nimby Attitude And Behavior's Influence Factors

This research,mainly based on the risk perception theory,social survey and empirical analysis,study the influenece of citizen's NIMBY attitude and behavior.According to the results,in term of NIMBY attitude,avoiding NIMBY risk is citizen's main attitude.With the raise of local pollution and the increase of individul's age,education as well as income,citizen's NIMBY facility tolerance gradually decreased.With local pollution,government's credibility in environment protection,citizen's focus on current events and environment protection increase,their aspiration of compensation and public decision participation decreased,and prefer buliding NIMBY facilities on unhabited areas.In term of NIMBY behavior,group resistence is citizen's major behavior.The raise of government's credibility in environment protection make citizen prefer mass incidence as their resistence mean and keep resistence behavior.But the increase of individual's age,education and income will make citizen prefer moving away rather than taking part in mass incidence as well as keeping resistence behavior.All in all,the major influence of citizen's NIMBY risk percepiton including the harm of local pollution,local government's credibility and citizen's individual characters.Most citizen are risk-aversion in NIMBY incidences.The main aim of citizen's NIMBY behavior is avoiding NIMBY risk,not striving for compensation and civil rights.
