Auxiliary police,an important force to assist law enforcement in public security organs,have been working hard on the front line and made great contributions to the stability of the society.Recently,faced with great social changes,decreasing auxiliary police officers have work enthusiasm due to the low salary and treatment in addition to the unsound job security and imperfect career development.It seriously affects the sustainable development of auxiliary police force,the high-quality development of public security work,and the stability of local public security.At present,there are more and more calls for strengthening the management of the auxiliary police,improving the incentive mechanism of the auxiliary police,and improving the welfare treatment of the auxiliary police.Some reforms and practices have been carried out in various regions,but they are still in the exploration stage,lacking the support of the legal system.In 2016,the General Office of the State Council issued the "Opinions on Regulating the Management of Police Auxiliary Personnel in Public Security Organs",marking that the auxiliary police management system has risen to the national level.However,the "Opinions" emphasizes more on the norms of management,and there are not many systemic regulations on the pay,security,and career development of the auxiliary police officers.It is foreseeable that the sense of acquisition of the auxiliary police will not improve with the release of the "Opinions".Taking the auxiliary police in J City as a sample,this paper aims at providing empirical research and theoretical basis for promoting the sustainable development of the auxiliary police force.Based on theories including Maslow's hierarchy of needs,two factor theory,and expectation theory,this paper studies the excitation of auxiliary police through data analysis,analyzes the reasons that affect the motivation of the auxiliary police force and proposes an optimization plan involving strengthening material incentive,emotional incentive,competitive incentive,negative incentive,as well as increasing professional recognition and expanding promotion channels to improve the enthusiasm of auxiliary police.
