A Research On Xunzi's Thought Of "LiFa"

Xunzi lived in a chaotic society,the old order perished,and the end of the Warring States period when the new order was not established.This is a time of political ideology and culture.Rites and music,once a measure of social value,have become the object of pedantry,from the monarch to the monarch.The implementation of the Legalist Doctrine has made the monarchs aspirational,the country rich and the people strong,but there is no longer any warmth in society.Xunzi saw the advantages and disadvantages of the two theories of Confucianism and Law.Based on the thought of ritual law,he creatively proposed the concept of "ritual law" and gave new connotations.The formation of Xunzi's "Ritual and Law" thought was based on a solid philosophical foundation and strict formal reasoning logic.The decline of Zhou Li,based on the patriarchal kinship system,means that the doctrine of human goodness that relies on maintaining Zhou Li is also flawed.Xunzi studied under Confucianism,but was not constrained by the Confucian sages' ideas,but examined reality and put forward a claim of sexual evil that is completely opposite to the theory of sexual good.At the same time,Xunzi revealed the social attributes of people,that is,people must live in groups and cooperate with each other in order to control everything.The evil of human nature and the theory of group living form the basis of Xunzi's thoughts of "ritual law".The development of Xunzi's "Ritual and Law" thought is divided into three dimensions,introducing "divided" into the ceremony,and the ritual contains legal power;using "righteous" unified law,the law is ritual;exploring the relationship between ritual and law under the "Ritual and Law" order,etiquette and law are not equal Importantly,law is a means to ensure that the purpose of rites can be successfully achieved.Rites are the principle of the highest value of law.On the academic system,rites are governed by law and supplemented by law.Xunzi's "Ritual Law" thought deeply influenced China's political ideology and culture,laid the basic structure of Confucian "foreign Confucianism and internal law",and provided important theoretical support for China's long-term stability and unification.However,we must also see that after the development of Xunzi's "ceremony and law" relationship,the rule of rites and lords has reached theextreme,and the long-term erosion of rites on law has led to insufficient development of modern rule of law.Governance concept can be used for reference.
