In recent years,China's economic construction has made great progress, and the people's lives have been improved day by day.Children of all ethnic groups across the country are striving to achieve the goal of building a well-off society in an all-round way. However, even in the new period when per capita living standards have changed significantly, the quality of life of some people has remained at a low level.Family caregivers of children with intellectual disabilities,as a more special vulnerable group, are also affected by the frequent occurrence of recent extreme events.Sensitive nerves of the whole society.Although the academic circles in China pay attention to the group of family caregivers for children with intellectual disabilities, the research results are relatively small. This research is based on the theory of social support.Based on the analysis of the existing literature,it takes the family caregivers of children with intellectual disabilities as research objects, describes the caregiver status of children with intellectual disabilities, explores the problems behind them and explores the reasons for the status quo.Social support theory provides suggestions from the perspectives of formal support and informal support to help build and improve social support for carers of children with intellectual disabilities. The study found that the care work undertaken by home caregivers for children with intellectual disabilities is diverse, and the care status of caregivers in different families is different.Caregivers for children with intellectual disabilities are currently in a lot of difficulties:legally the status of family caregivers for children with intellectual disabilities has not been mentioned, and their legal rights and interests cannot be protected by law.Furthermore, there is no clear local policy to support carers of families with mentally handicapped children, which directly results in the poor ability of this group to resist risks.Family caregivers for children with intellectual disabilities are generated by the existence of children with intellectual disabilities in the family, but the perception of children with intellectual disabilities in the society is generally affected by the influence of the mass media. The group of children with intellectual disabilities is "stigmatized" "It is not uncommon to see this phenomenon happening, but no one has spoken to stop the evolution of this phenomenon.Family caregivers for children with intellectual disabilities have been overloaded with familycare for a long time, and are already overwhelmed with physical and mental exhaustion.Under the squeeze of this internal and external environment,we find that family caregivers for children with intellectual disabilities are currently under economic pressure, physical and mental pressure, and social support.Lack of stress and socially restricted stress.Behind these pressures, the reasons can be roughly divided into the lack of government's main responsibility, low social emotional identity, weak social organization strength, lack of community role, lack of family function, and lack of initiative of family caregivers for children with intellectual disabilities. Finally, the author puts forward relevant suggestions based on the actual situation. The help for family caregivers of children with intellectual disabilities can not only require the efforts of family caregivers themselves, but also must comprehensively mobilize the strength of society to jointly establish a social support system for family caregivers of children with intellectual disabilities.Exerting the energy of all parties can provide long-term and effective support for the family caregivers of children with intellectual disabilities to get out of their predicament, restore self-confidence,and face life again.
