Study On Production And Operation Of Government Statistics Of D Town

As a reflection of the operation of national economy and the degree of social development,government statistics play an important role in social and economic development.They are important basis for the government to carry out macro-control and formulate various development plans and strategies,and the government makes various management decisions through the analysis and judgment of statistics.The process of producing statistics is actually a kind of governance process.Statistics also provide reference for enterprises,institutions and other market economic entities to make production decisions,while the public pays increasingly high attention to them.However,in real life,statistic problems occur frequently due to various reasons.In order to obtain the trust of the public and truly provide a reliable basis for scientific rational decision-making,it is necessary to ensure the truthfulness and credibility of the statistics.Using literature research,participatory observation,and case study method,taking the formation process of gross industrial output value of enterprises above designate size of D Town as an example,the thesis uses principal-agent theory and related theory of technical governance to analyze production process of township government statistics in detail.It is concluded that the main reason for the distortion of statistical data lies in the existence of objective responsibility assessment body under the pressurized system.In order to achieve the goal,the local government has a reciprocal relationship with the enterprises reporting data.Also,there are some drawbacks in the system logic auditing under the mode of direct online reporting,while the statistical law enforcement inspection needs to be strengthened.Finally,it puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions on improving the government's assessment mechanism,strengthening the publicity of statistical laws and raise the quality of statisticians,and strengthening the supervision and management of data quality,so as to improve the quality of government statistics and make scientific decisions to enhance the effectiveness of governance.As the smallest element of national statistics,township government statistics is the foundation of national statistics and the final foothold of various statistical tasks.Studying the process of producing statistical data of township government can better analyze the causes of the problems from the source.From the perspective of township government,the thesis attempts to analyze government statistics by using principal-agent theory and related theory of technical governance,expanding the application scope of the theory,and providing a new perspective for the study of government statistics.
