China's aging process is accelerating, and the large number of elderly people poses a challenge to the entire society's pension system. The disabled elderly,as a more special group among the elderly, have special needs in terms of elderly care.In the context of home care as the main way of providing for the elderly, family care is of great significance in satisfying the care of the disabled elderly.Based on the data from Jilin Province, the fourth sample survey of the living conditions of the elderly in urban and rural areas in China in 2015,this paper discusses the factors that affect the care of the disabled elderly on the basis of analyzing the basic situation of the disabled elderly and the current situation of family care.Age,gender, education, disability, family income, number of children, property ownership, etc.are the key factors that affect the ability of disabled elderly people to receive spouse and child care.Rural, female and older elderly people have relatively high disability rates, but rural and female elderly people have relatively low levels of disability. The vast majority of disabled elderly people are cared for,and disabled elderly people choose to receive care at home.Nearly 40% of disabled elderly spouses will provide care, and nearly 60% of disabled elderly children will provide care.Socialized care only accounts for Very few.It can be seen that although the care model of the elderly shows a diversified trend, family care is still the mainstay, and children(including daughter-in-law and son-in-law)are still the main care providers for most disabled elderly people. In addition,we should also see that in the context of a sharp decline in fertility levels and the miniaturization of families, families are facing great pressure to care for the elderly compared to the past. The “integration of medical and nursing care” guarantee system can help alleviate the risk of care for the disabled elderly, reduce the pressure on caregivers of the disabled elderly, and improve the quality of life of the disabled elderly.
