Study On The Concept Of Distributive Justice In John E.Roemer

John E.Roemer is a representative of the Marxist School of analysis.He defined distribution justice as an equal distribution of scarce resources,and analyzed it from the perspective of economy and politics,and finally outlined the social blueprint of distribution justice.Starting from the economic concept of the unequal distribution of exploitation,Roemer reconstructed Marx's exploitation theory with modern social science tools such as rational choice model,and then gradually turned to the field of political philosophy,focusing on the study of the political philosophy of social justice and equal distribution,and committed to exploring the combination of fairness and efficiency under the socialist model.As soon as its theory came out,it aroused the deep discussion of scholars at home and abroad.Distributive justice is a philosophical theory of how to realize equality.Roemer's concept of distributive justice is a more rigorous system,aiming to construct a feasible equal social form.This paper intends to use normative analysis and logical analysis to comb and deduce Roemer's research path from general exploitation theory to market socialism,explore the theoretical core of his distribution justice concept,and give an objective value judgment to his theory.In this process,we also examine the gains and losses of Roemer's general exploitation theory by comparing Marx's exploitation proposition.Looking at the whole system,we can find that Roemer explores the problem of equal distribution of socialism with a unique theoretical perspective and a logical and strict way of thinking.This is of great theoretical and practical significance for the academic circles to study the Western Marxist theory and explore the fairness in the field of socialist distribution.However,his theory still has defects and deficiencies,so we should treat Roemer's distributive justice dialectically.This paper takes the concept of distributive justice as the general program of Roemer's theory.In this way,it connects three levels of concrete theories: economic philosophy,political philosophy and practical conception.This paper attempts to sort out Roemer's ideological context and theoretical core in a more comprehensive way,and to objectively and dialectically evaluate his three levels of specific theories.In order to provide theoretical reference for the reform and development of the socialist distribution system in the new era.
