Self-control Theory And Juvenile Delinquency Prevention

Juvenile delinquency is a serious social problem that all countries and regions in the world are facing together.In the aspect of crime prevention,juvenile delinquency prevention is the key.Therefore,the research on juvenile delinquency prevention is of great social significance.Efficient crime prevention can reduce or avoid many unnecessary losses caused by crime,and the social order will be more stable,it can provide an excellent social environment for the construction of political,spiritual and material civilization so as to realize the goal of building a harmonious society.Young people often take the road of crime for many reasons,including the main body and external factors,such as individual psychology,physiology,are the main factors,and media influence,social structure are the external factors.As far as the author is concerned,the specific reasons for juvenile delinquency are as follows: In the process of socialization,the juvenile lacks self-control and forms a bad self,although there are obvious conflicts between the legal model and the bad motive,the mistake of the cognitive model and the will of the legal model,they are often controlled by themselves.This paper hopes to make clear the significance and theoretical value of self-control in the prevention of juvenile delinquency,and how self-control relates to the prevention of juvenile delinquency,and explore the self-control perspective of the prevention of juvenile delinquency strategies.At present,faced with the situation that no attention has been paid to the juvenile delinquents,especially the neglect of the self-control ability of this group,the research work on the prevention of juvenile delinquency based on the self-control theory is gradually replacing the external control with the internal control.The subject and the factors outside the subject interact with each other and form the self,that is,produce and guide the individual behavior in the social interaction.In the aspect of prevention strategy,it can be divided into two parts: self-control and social control,but the latter needs individual evaluation,clear meaning and internalization of internal standards before it can materially influence individual behavior.Therefore,in the prevention of juvenile delinquency,self-control will play a fundamental role,such as internal causes.If self-control is deficient,no matter how strong social control is,it will be extremely weak.Therefore,through training to enable young people to form self-control strategies and improve self-control ability,is to avoid such a group of the key means of criminal behavior.This article introduces the self-concept from personality and Social Psychology,at the same time,it introduces the theory of society and self-control of criminology,from the angles of Juvenile Delinquency Prevention,control theory and specific characteristics,etc.,by drawing on the achievements of criminology and sociology and combining with the internal and external mechanisms of self-control prevention,the author puts forward some operative strategies andmethods,etc.,the former mainly includes the cognition of improving the ability of regulation and the effective control of bad emotion,the latter mainly includes the role played by society,school and Family,etc.,it is hoped that it will play an active role in educating young people and preventing crime.
