Railway Police forces have been fighting for front-line posts such as stations,trains and railway lines all the year round to maintain the safety of railway transportation production and passengers' lives and property.In recent years,with the rapid development of China's economy,society,especially railway industry,the image shaping and propaganda of railway Police team has received unprecedented attention.Among them,the image propaganda of Changsha Railway Police has both individuality and representativeness.This paper analyses the current situation and effect of Police image propaganda in ChangSha Railway Police by means of case analysis and questionnaire survey.The research finds that ChangSha Railway Police has its own propaganda process,and has established a relatively effective system of editing,auditing and publishing.It mainly relies on the mainstream media to construct the image of the police,but there is still a big gap between the public impression and the ideal image of ChangSha Railway Police.The first reason is that the construction of self-Media platform is seriously lagging behind,only through micro-blog propaganda and public attention is low,propaganda is weak.Second,the propaganda concept is outdated,positive propaganda is more,information service is less,propaganda content is single,audience cohesion is low,lack of effective interactive communication;some manuscripts attract the audience only by the title,the text content is not full.Thirdly,the evaluation method of publicity effect is single,only according to the quantity and level of publication,but no public opinion survey is carried out to investigate the actual publicity effect and so on.Accordingly,according to the four aspects of propaganda platform,personnel,content and effect evaluation system,the author puts forward suggestions.First,we should pay attention to the construction of self-Media platform and try to set up and operate Wechat public signal and short video platform.Secondly,regular training should be carried out to improve the media literacy of propaganda personnel and to establish and improve the incentive mechanism for propaganda personnel.Thirdly,we should broaden the angle of reporting,enrich the forms of expression and improve the quality of publicity manuscripts.Fourthly,we should improve the evaluation system of publicity effect by means of public opinion survey and vertical and horizontal comparison.
