Study On Social Risks Confronted By Political Security In The New Era

Since the 18 th CPC National Congress,socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era,and China has achieved a tremendous transformation: it has stood up,grown rich,and is becoming strong.With the transformation of the main social contradictions,the deepening of the reform and development and the profound change of the international environment,China’s political security faces many risks and challenges in many fields.Among them,the risk from the social field has become an important issue in maintaining the political security of our country.From the perspective of political security,the prominent risks confronted by political security are as follows: the challenge brought by public demands for new changes makes the ruling ability of the Party face a major test;the dispute in the field of ideology makes ideological security still face serious strike and influence;irrational nationalist sentiment becomes the catalyst of social hot-spot events;the solidified trend of social stratum leads to alienation and antagonism among social strata,which will affect the mass foundation of the Party’s ruling;the flourishing of network populist public opinion may become breeding area of social turbulence.Political security is the foundation of national security.Ensuring political security is the primary task to prevent and resolve risk challenges.In response to the social risks faced by political security in the new era,we should respond to the two aspects of preventing prominent social risks and controlling social risks to avoid evolving into Political Crisis.On the one hand,we should promote the capacity and level of social governance,consolidate the legitimacy foundation of political security;firmly grasp the leading power of the struggle in the ideological field,lay the foundation of political security belief;actively deal with the expansion of irrational nationalist sentiment,guide the healthy development of nationalism;cultivate an open and unimpeded social mobility mechanism,and lay a solid social foundation for political security;curb the spread and flooding of populism,eliminate the cause of social turbulence.On the other hand,we should enhance risk awareness and alert to social risk issues has become the tipping point for inducing the "color revolution";explore the construction of a social risk early warning mechanism to safeguard political security,prevent social risk building up into political crisis.
