In recent years,there have been many mass incidents of centralized withdrawal caused by reputational risk of commercial banks in China.This kind of incidents involve large sums of money,large numbers of people and high social concern.At the same time,such incidents have a negative impact on social stability and local economic development.The government has the responsibility of maintaining the healthy and orderly development of social economy.In the event of mass incidents of concentrated withdrawals from commercial banks,the local government must deal with it timely and effectively to ensure the normal financial order and maintain social stability.In 2018,an online rumor caused depositors to gather at Bank G to withdraw their money.The centralized withdrawal is hotly discussed on We Chat,weibo and other network platforms in the form of text,pictures and videos.This incident has aroused wide public concern.Z city government started to deal with the incident quickly.On the basis of relevant theories and literatures,this paper takes Z municipal government's response to the "11.2" centralized withdrawal incident of G Bank as the case,analyzes the measures taken by the government,and summarizes the government's solution to the mass withdrawal incident of commercial banks.This paper is divided into five parts.The first part mainly introduces the background,significance,theoretical basis and other contents of the case,constructs the analytical framework of the case study,and defines the research method.The second part mainly introduces the typicality of selected cases.The third part specifically describes the Z municipal government's response to the "11.2" centralized withdrawal event of Bank G,including the process of the Z municipal government's response to the centralized withdrawal event and the main measures taken.The fourth part,combined with relevant theories,conducts an in-depth analysis of Z municipal government's response to the "11.2" centralized withdrawal event of G Bank,and summarizes the successful experience of the case.The fifth part summarizes Z municipal government's response to the "11.2" centralized withdrawal event of G Bank.Z municipal government was confronted with rapid crowd gathering and certain economic losses in the emergency handling of the "11.2" centralized withdrawal event of G Bank.The case study shows that the agile emergency warning is helpful toaccurately evaluate the risk status of the event.Effective linkage disposal facilitates rapid disposal of risk events.Continuous follow-up prevention can prevent and control the second outbreak of risk events.Z municipal government has further strengthened and improved the government functions through the handling of G Bank's centralized withdrawal incident,and solved the problems of unclear functions and responsibilities of various government departments and unequal rights and obligations in the handling of financial sudden mass disturbances.This paper is enlightening to the local government's response to the financial mass disturbance caused by reputation risk.
