In recent years,a number of higher education disciplines related to teaching and research units have been abolished,the development of higher education is facing a grim situation.The construction of higher education subject theory is important,and the internal recognition of academic community can not be ignored.The recognition of the subject researcher is the basis for the external recognition of the subject.Only when academic community of higher education maintain the consciousness and ability to reflect and criticize the group and the discipline itself,can itmaintain the unique personality and quality,communicate with other disciplines equallyand then promote the development of the higher education systemin the interaction with other disciplines.Social identity theory explains the individual's social identity,social comparison,positive distinction and other processes,individual obtained the identity and qualifications of group,affecting their social awareness,social attitudes and social behavior mechanism.After the scholars classified themselves as the research field of higher education,group identity and qualification of the subject will affect the cognition and behavior of the researchers.The improvement of the level of the subject's approval will also promote the construction and development of higher education.During the development of higher education,the construction process of the academic identity is basically consistent with the social identity of the three basic processes,and higher education disciplines are in the dynamic development.According to the related literature,research and research purpose,the academic identityof the higher education discipline is divided into four dimensions:cognition,emotion,behavior and evaluation.The survey shows that the four dimensions are related to each other.The identity of scholars are in the middle level of higher education discipline,on the level of which the discipline emotion>disciplinary behavior>discipline awareness>discipline evaluation.Different gender,age,job title,school-level scholars in the higher education subject has a certain degree of differentiation.What's more,discipline system,subject status and external evaluation are the main factors that affectedidentity of the higher educationdiscipline.The researchputs forward some suggestions to promoting the development of higher education in four aspects-cognition,behavior,emotion and evaluation:To adhere to the disciplinary standpoint of higher education and play a social system to promote the construction of disciplinary theory;To build vigorously higher education academic community and enhance internal cohesion;To adhere to academic beliefs and academic emotions,maintain jointly the academic prestige of higher education;To enhance discipline values and disciplines evaluation and improve the status of higher education disciplines.
