Young Teacher,the new generation of building-up team in colleges and universities,represents hope and future.Professional development is of enormous significance not only to their own career,but students' growth,colleges' growing as well.Tibetan teachers who have a more sophisticated culture background as a unique minority group are bearing a burden on the shoulder: Tibetan cultural continuity and dominant culture spreading,which leads them to considerable challenge.These young of which career just started are considered to be crucial teaching resources for colleges and universities.Therefore,research on their professional development is highly necessary and significant.We explore the development process of 3 selected typical young Tibetan teachers via observing,interview and material-collecting based on the narrative research methods.Info we collected will be written into stories to show what the professional development is like.Getting closer to their stories and analyzing inspires us to make a difference in the end.According to the featured contents of professional development,we will also take a consideration of teaching,research,and social service when comes to teachers' professional passion,knowledge and ability.These 3 functions will be our target research fields at the same time.With comprehensive understanding of the 3 teachers,we focus on the whole process of teaching,research and social service.In addition to differences,we will find out the commons the teachers share,that is,career identity,focus on students and positive self-reflection and we will also dig out the cultural consciousness hidden inside then.As a result,based on the narrative and value system of cultural consciousness,we have advice for Tibetan's professional development as following: Frequent self-reflection andenhance of educational philosophy.Seek access to growth by providing opportunities to learn andbuild up platform for cooperative learning.
