In vocational training school,the most important for the student is to acquire the basic knowledge and have practiced the basic skill,which are considered not only as a basic requirement for student obtaining an employment,but also being the fundamental for the higher vocational training school.However,the training process is limited in the school,the knowledge and the skill learned from the class can not be enhanced beyond the school.Therefore,extending the training outside the class,in another word,extracurricular learning process,will be the most effective method to improve the students' ability and enhance the basic knowledge and practice the skill.In this research,based on the analysis of the elementary design,the concept of extracurricular learning,collaborative learning,Web-based collaborative learning,combining the feature “short,fast and spirit”of WeChat,we have built a collaborative learning model on WeChat platform.With the assistance the instant communication and resources sharing function provided by WeChat,the model has encouraged the students to cooperate outside the school and solve the problems.The main purpose of building this learning model is to create a new method to better use the extracurricular learning and finally to improve the students' skill and practicing abilities.Based on WeChat collaborative learning model,by using the action research method,we conducted an experiment in a second year vocational course "C Programming Language".Through three rounds of action research process,the learning strategy has been constantly improved,and the WeChat based extra-curricular collaborative learning model has also been revised and optimized and the students could better understand the core content of the course.Action research process has demonstrated the effectiveness of WeChat based extracurricular collaborative learning model,in order to further explain the effect of the present study,the following analyses have been conducted as well: the mid-term,and final-term result comparison between the regular class and test subject;the students' attitudes toward to the extra-curricular cooperation;the comparison of interests in learning,the learning attitude,the learning satisfaction and the learning expectation before and after introducing the WeChat-based learning collaborative learning model,including the interviews of the students afterward.We can conclude that the research has proved the WeChat-based extra-curricular collaborative learning model is effective and efficient;this model can carry out a positive result in current training process inside the vocational education system.
