The rural teacher carries the responsibility to improve the quality of rural education,and education reform in advancing plays an irreplaceable role in the process of promoting the balanced development of compulsory education,narr owing the urban-rural gap and regional disparities,we must strengthen the cons truction of teachers in rural areas.However,there are still a variety of problems in rural teachers,especially the aging of rural primary school teachers.In this context,the old teachers in rural primary schools have become the so-called "p roblems" in the development of rural education,which are restricted by maype ople.But few people pay attention to the professional development of this part teachers.However,from the perspective of human resources in rural primary sc hool old teachers and their professional development,we can find that rural pri mary school aging teachers are still valuable human resources,needing for conti nuous learning and development,ignoring the professional development of these teachers will undoubtedly cause a huge waste of human resources.Therefore,the professional development of rural primary school old teachers should be pa id attention to.Through to the Gansu province H County,G County,J County part of rur al primary school old teachers and part of rural primary school principal to car ry out questionnaire and interview research,found that rural primary school tea chers have Initiative,human development,human developmentplasticity increme nt and dedication and devotion,still very important human resources,have the development potential and value.Based on the analysis of the physical and men tal status,professional knowledge and professionalability,and the confusion in t he teaching and work of the rural primary school teachers,found that the mai n problems existing in the professional development:poor physical and mental s tate,lack of professional quality,lack of self motivation,generally stuck in career development plateau period.The main reasons for the above problems are analy zed by using human capital theory,behavior motivation theory,career theory and adult learning theory:The cognitive bias of the old teachers hinders their a ccess to development resources.Rural primary school old teachers' self cognitivebiases affect their willingness and action.Rural primary school teachers lack of incentives and ineffective.Administrators ignore the characteristics of thecareer s tages of old teachers.The learning and training of old teachers fail to combine the characteristics of adult learning.Based on this put forward countermeasuresa nd suggestions.Overcoming the cognitive bias of rural primary school old teach ers.Increasing the support for rural primary school old teachers' professionaldev elopment.According to the characteristics and needs of the old teachers in rural primary schools design professional development activities.Rational use of ince ntives to stimulate the enthusiasm of rural primary school old teachers.Take po sitive measures to promote the development of rural primary school old teachers.
